Reminder calls for EMIs, fees and dues · built on the Voxa voice engine

A polite call before the due date. In your borrower's own language.

Nudge calls borrowers a few days before and just after an EMI or fee is due. It reminds them of the amount and date, answers simple questions, notes the date they promise to pay, sends the payment link, and passes anything sensitive to your staff.

    How it works

A few calls around each due date. You choose which.

A typical schedule is shown below. Your team decides the days, the hours and how many attempts, and your compliance team approves every script before the first call.

    1. 3 days beforeFriendly reminderAmount, date and how to pay
    2. Due dateDue-day reminderOnly if not yet paid
    3. 1 day afterGentle follow-upAsks for a date, sends the link
    4. 5 days afterLast reminderThen your staff take over

Example schedule. Calls stop as soon as the payment is received, a dispute is raised or the borrower asks for a person.

    1. 1

      Your due list, every morning

An export from your loan or fee system (a spreadsheet works on day one) with name, number, amount, due date and language.

    2. 2

      Nudge calls within your hours

From your registered business number, with the script your compliance team approved, in the borrower's language.

    3. 3

      Outcomes back to your team

Promises to pay, links sent, payments received and hand-offs, each with a recording and transcript, in one console.

    What each call does

Six jobs, done the same courteous way on every call.

Confirms who it's speaking to, then reminds

It checks it has the borrower before mentioning any loan detail, then states the amount and due date plainly.

    Answers the simple questions

How to pay, where to find the UPI link, branch address and timings, from answers your team signs off.

    Records a promise-to-pay date

If the borrower names a date, it is repeated back, confirmed and saved against the loan for your team to see.

    Sends the payment link

By SMS or WhatsApp while the borrower is still on the line, using your existing payment gateway or UPI ID.

Hands the sensitive ones to people

Disputes, hardship requests and "I want to talk to a person" go straight to your staff, with the call summary attached.

    Writes everything down

Every call is recorded and transcribed, with the outcome and next step, so nothing depends on memory.

    What Nudge will not do

    • Threaten, shame or raise its voice
    • Mention the loan to anyone other than the borrower
    • Call relatives, references or employers
    • Negotiate waivers, settlements or restructuring

    Languages

The same reminder, in the language the borrower is comfortable with.

Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi and English, plus Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi and more. Borrowers mix English words in naturally, and so does Nudge. Hindi, Telugu and English are live in our demos; your languages are set up and voice-tested during your pilot.

    The lender console

Who was called, what they said, who needs a person.

A queue by bucket (due soon, due today, a few days late), every promise-to-pay with its date and amount, and a clear list of hand-offs for your branch staff. Open the demo and click any borrower.

    Designed around the rules

Built for how lenders are expected to call, not around it.

This is how Nudge is designed. It is not a certification or legal advice.

Calling hours Only within the hours you configure, and never outside 8 AM to 7 PM, the window RBI guidance sets for recovery calls.

Outer limit, 8 AM to 7 PM, cannot be changed Your window, for example 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM

    Polite, scripted language

Every line comes from an approved script. No threats, no shaming, and no disclosure of the loan to anyone but the borrower.

    A person, whenever asked

The borrower can ask for a human at any point in the call, and the request goes to your staff at once.

    Every call on record

Each call is recorded and transcribed, so your team and your auditors can see exactly what was said.

Data handled per the DPDP Act 2023

Borrower data is used only for the reminder calls you configure, kept for the period you set and handled in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Your own policies and the RBI Fair Practices Code remain your responsibility as the lender. We review every script with your compliance team before it goes live, and change it only with their approval.

    FAQ

    Questions lenders ask us.

No. Nudge makes reminder calls: it tells the borrower what is due and when, helps them pay and records the date they give. It does not pressure, negotiate or escalate. Anything beyond a reminder goes to your staff.

Yes. We recommend Nudge introduces itself as an automated assistant calling on your behalf, and the borrower can ask for a person at any point.

Nudge confirms it is speaking to the borrower before mentioning anything about the loan. If it isn't, it apologises and ends the call without sharing any detail, and the number is flagged for your team to check.

Nudge does not take payment details on the call. It sends a link by SMS or WhatsApp that uses your existing payment gateway or UPI ID, so the money goes straight to you.

A daily due-list export as a spreadsheet works from day one. A direct connection to your loan or fee system, and sending outcomes back to it, is scoped with your IT team during the pilot.

Usually three to four weeks. Most of that is registering your business number with the telecom provider and reviewing the scripts with your compliance team.

Yes. The same reminder flow works for term fees, instalment plans and renewals. The script talks about fees or renewals instead of EMIs, and parents or customers get the same polite call and payment link.

Hear the reminder your borrowers would hear.

Message us on WhatsApp. We'll set up a demo reminder call to your phone in Hindi, Telugu or English, and walk your team through the console.
