Missing component
A chip not placed, a screw or clip missing, a tablet missing from a blister.
Camera quality inspection for production lines
Inspecta watches your conveyor or inspection table through a camera and checks each item for the defects your factory defines. It rejects or flags the bad ones, saves an image of every defect, and shows defect rates by line, shift and type.
Sample feed drawn in your browser. Defects appear far more often here than on a real line. Line and product are fictional.
Built for
01How it works
We photograph your good parts and the defective ones you already keep aside, at the line, under the final lighting.
Inspecta learns what "good" means for your product and each defect you name. Not a generic model guessing at your line.
Camera, lighting and a small computer at one station, wired to your reject gate, air jet or stack light.
Each flag shows on a screen at the station. The operator confirms or overrules it, and those decisions train the next version.
Defect rates by line, shift and type, with the image behind every number. Searchable when a customer complaint comes in.
02Defects it can learn
If a trained inspector can see it in a clear photo, it can usually be learned. We check that with your own samples before you commit to anything.
A chip not placed, a screw or clip missing, a tablet missing from a blister.
Skewed, missing or the wrong SKU's label. Batch code and expiry present and readable.
Smeared or faded print on cartons, foils and labels. Missing characters in a batch code.
Dents on cans, housings, stamped and machined parts, including shallow ones under raking light.
Scratches on painted, plated and polished surfaces, screens and moulded plastic.
Shade variation in fabric, dyed yarn, caps and moulded parts; wrong colour tablet in a pack.
Open, creased or contaminated seals on pouches, sachets, blisters and induction-sealed caps.
Under- or over-filled bottles and jars, checked against the level you set per product.
03Hardware
An industrial machine-vision camera for fast lines and small defects. On slower lines or inspection tables, a good IP camera can be enough.
The part most projects get wrong. A diffuse bar, ring or dome light, shielded from daylight, so a defect looks the same at 7 AM and 11 PM.
A small computer mounted at the line. It runs the checks and stores the images. No cloud server in the loop.
A signal to the reject gate, air jet or stack light you already have, through a relay or your PLC.
A monitor or tablet at the station, for confirming or overruling flags.
You get a parts list sized to your line speed and smallest defect. Buy it from your usual supplier; we install and tune it with your maintenance team. Hardware is not included in our pricing.

05Operator in the loop
A flag is a question, not a verdict. The operator at the station sees the image and the score, and answers in one tap. Confirmed defects become new bad examples. Overrules become new good examples, so similar parts stop being flagged.
Every decision is saved with the operator's name and the time. Overrules are reviewed with your QA lead before they go into the next training round, so one wrong tap can't teach it a bad habit.

The score is how sure the model is about this item. It is not an accuracy figure.

07The pilot
We don't quote a detection rate before we've seen your parts. The pilot measures it on your line, next to the manual inspection you run today, and you decide on the numbers.
Week 1
We see the line, agree the defect list with your QA team and collect good and bad samples.
Weeks 2–3
Training on your samples. Camera, light and computer mounted and wired at one station.
Weeks 4–7
Inspecta and your inspectors check the same items. Every disagreement is reviewed together.
End of pilot
What each caught and missed, false flags per shift, and what it would take to go further. You decide.
A typical plan. Timing depends on your line, your defects and how quickly samples come in.

09FAQ
It depends on your part, your defects, the lighting and the line speed, so we don't quote a figure up front. The pilot measures it on your line against your current manual inspection, and you get the numbers in writing.
Not always. Fast lines and very small defects need a machine-vision camera. Slower lines and inspection tables can often use a good IP camera. We tell you which after seeing your line and samples, before you buy anything.
No. The checks run on the computer at the line. Internet is only used if you switch on remote support for a session.
The operator overrules the flag. That image is saved as a good example and, after your QA lead reviews it, goes into the next training round. Wrong flags are counted on the dashboard so you can see them fall.
Usually, yes. Inspecta sends a signal through a relay or your PLC to the reject gate, air jet or stack light you already have. You can also run it in flag-only mode first.
It depends on line speed and defect size, so we give you a parts list with options after the site visit. You buy it directly from your supplier. It is not part of our setup or monthly fee.
You do. They sit on your computer at your line. You can export or delete them whenever you want.
